Apple A1243 Keyboard

Apple A1243 Keyboard

The Apple A1243 Keyboard was first released in 2007 and was one of the first Apple Keyboards to feature the beautiful aluminium enclosure that we are so used to now on MacBooks and iMacs.

It was the first model not to have the Apple Logo in either solid or open form. When you compare the A1243 to other Apple Keyboards you will see that it is approximately half the width and the Delete, Right Shift and Return keys are a lot narrower than on other keyboards.

The A1243 has a USB 2.0 port at either end of the keyboard so it is handy for when you want to charge your iPhone, iPod or simple just plug a USB mouse in without having to get to the back of your machine.

In 2009 when the Apple A1242 Keyboard was released the A1243 was renamed the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Pad as the A2142 was basically the same model but it didn't have the Numeric Keypad.
